About Electronic Health Record Software
If you are tired of dictating and falling behind in your paperwork, you’re not alone. This was me when I was practicing in the late 80’s. Let me introduce myself, my name is Dr. John Stagl. I practiced in Northwest Indiana from 1977 to 1994. For most of that time, I had stacks of charts on my desk everyday and the more patients I saw, the worse it got. I knew there was a better way – and eventually, I found it through electronic health record software.
I figured if you could store patient information electronically, then it could be reformatted to create usable reports. Subsequently, I developed what is known today as the SonoSoft EMR software solutions. Below you can view a short video of our company featured on CNN Headline News in the Summer of 2009.
Over that past 18 years, I have assembled a dedicated staff of talented programmers for the sole purpose of streamlining the data entry process and perfecting a wide variety of reports. Today, with the help of an numerous dedicated physician clients throughout the United States and Canada, we have developed systems unlike others.
Every day is spent developing better, faster and more efficient methods of documenting tests results, procedures and office visits of all types. Combine our Practice Management module for electronic billing and scheduling and you have one of the most efficient and easy to use Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems available.

Our mission is to help physicians by developing processes which improve practice efficiencies. We believe that better efficiency means more productivity, decreased errors and less stress. This is good for the physician and patient, as the doctor should spend his time diagnosing, prescribing and treating. Result - more productivity, decreased errors and less stress.
EMR software solutions remain easy and efficient to use, yet produce the highest quality results. As a pioneer in Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Dr. Stagl developed one of the first systems to capture and record examination findings and patient interactions in 1990. Since then, he has consulted physicians on methods of practice efficiency techniques with dramatic results – doubling and sometimes tripling practice income while, at the same time, giving precious time back to the attending physician. One of his latest contributions to the medical field is Personal Information Practice and Store System, otherwise known as PICS.
